This online course helps children aged 8-14 learn how to think carefully, ask useful questions, understand problems, use evidence, generate solutions, make reasoned decisions, and improve after mistakes. The design assumes that each instructional video plays to completion before the learner answers questions or completes activities.

What you'll learn

CTPS-1: Students ask clear and useful questions to understand a situation, gather information, and explore different possibilities.
CTPS-2: Students identify the real problem by separating facts from assumptions, recognizing causes, and explaining what needs to be solved.
CTPS-3: Students use facts, observations, examples, and other reliable information to support what they think and say.
CTPS-4: Students generate more than one possible solution, compare the advantages and disadvantages, and explain which solutions may work best.
CTPS-5: Students make a reasoned decision, test or review the result, learn from mistakes, and improve their solution when needed.
