AI Disclosure
This notice explains where artificial intelligence may be used, what information it processes, and its important limitations.
Effective: 18 October 2026 · Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. AI-enabled features
- Learning chat, explanations, study support, and adaptive recommendations.
- Quiz, remediation, course-planning, and content assistance.
- Draft feedback, grading assistance, discussion analysis, and learning analytics.
- Practice interviews, skills analysis, presentation, transcription, or voice features where enabled.
2. Information processed
An AI request may include your prompt, relevant course or assessment content, prior conversation context, submitted work, and limited account context needed to provide the feature. IGA Africa may use providers such as OpenAI or DeepSeek to process these requests.
Do not enter unnecessary sensitive or confidential information. Kepler College does not authorize providers to use identifiable user content or recordings to train general-purpose AI models.
3. Limitations and human oversight
AI can produce inaccurate, biased, incomplete, or inappropriate output. Verify important answers against course materials and qualified people. AI output is not professional advice.
Where AI assists grading, moderation, safety, or another decision with significant effects, appropriate human review and a way to raise concerns should be available. Instructors and authorized staff remain responsible for final academic decisions.
4. Records and choices
AI prompts, responses, usage, and safety events may be logged to operate, secure, audit, and improve the feature. On account deletion, direct user links are removed or records are deleted unless retention is required.
Contact iga.africa@keplercollege.ac.rw to question an AI-assisted outcome, report harmful output, or ask how a feature used your information.
