IGA Africa
Child Safety Policy
IGA Africa is committed to age-appropriate learning, privacy, and protection from exploitation and abuse.
Effective: 18 October 2026 · Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. Age and consent
Users under 16 must complete the designated parent or guardian consent process when personal information is processed on the basis of consent. Participating institutions must use IGA Africa consistently with applicable age, consent, and safeguarding requirements.
2. Safety rules
- Sexual exploitation or abuse of a child, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or child sexual abuse material is prohibited.
- Adults must not seek inappropriate private contact, images, meetings, or personal details from a young user.
- Do not expose young users to age-inappropriate content, bullying, dangerous challenges, or pressure to keep unsafe interactions secret.
- Do not share a child's location, contact details, image, recording, or educational record without proper authority.
3. Reporting concerns
Report concerns promptly through in-app reporting or email iga.africa@keplercollege.ac.rw with the subject “Urgent child safety report”. Do not redistribute illegal material or conduct your own investigation. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency or child-protection authorities.
4. Our response
We may remove content, restrict contact, suspend accounts, preserve relevant records, work with the participating institution, and report suspected exploitation or abuse to appropriate authorities as required by law.
