Smart Skills for Everyday Adventures - Become a Safe Explorer equips children with simple, memorable safety habits they can use on roads, around people, when separated from caregivers, around everyday hazards, during emergencies, and online. The course is designed to strengthen recognition, judgment, communication, help-seeking, and responsible safety habits without frightening children or encouraging them to take on adult rescue roles.

By the end of the course, learners should be better able to notice danger early, choose a safer action, move away from risk, communicate clearly, and get help from an appropriate trusted adult or emergency service.

What you'll learn

C1 - Spot the Danger: Identify common hazards and warning signs in physical, social and digital environments.
C2 - Make the Safe Choice: Apply age-appropriate decision-making strategies to select safer actions in everyday situations.
C3 - Speak Up & Get Help: Communicate personal boundaries, explain safety concerns, and seek appropriate help from trusted adults or services.
C4 - Stay Calm & Respond: Apply simple first-response steps in unexpected situations while protecting personal safety first.
C5 - Practice Safe Habits: Demonstrate responsible road, community, personal, emergency and digital safety behaviours.
