IGA Africa
App Permissions Notice
IGA Africa asks for device access only when it supports a feature you use.
Effective: 18 October 2026 · Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. Notifications
If enabled, notification permission lets IGA Africa alert you about messages, announcements, course activity, and account events. You can deny or disable notifications in device settings without losing ordinary app access.
2. Photos and files
The system photo or file picker is used when you choose a profile image, assignment file, discussion attachment, or other upload. IGA Africa receives only the items you select; it does not require unrestricted access to your entire library.
3. Camera and microphone
The current native app does not request general camera, microphone, or precise-location permission. A browser-based presentation, recording, or voice feature may separately ask for camera or microphone access at the time you use it. You can decline, but that specific activity may require another submission method.
4. Network and protected storage
Internet access is required to sign in, synchronize courses, communicate, and download content. Protected local storage keeps authentication tokens and selected offline content on your device. Signing out or clearing offline storage removes the applicable local data.
5. Changing permission choices
Use your device settings to review or revoke a permission. IGA Africa will request access again only when permitted by the operating system and needed for a feature.
